We are 10 days away from kick-off and we still have around 70% of the boxes not sold. I am pretty sure I can get 30-40 of these boxes sold before the game (Family and NY friends) which will leave us with at least 30 that will need to be sold before Sunday morning 2/4/07.
Currently the pool is set up as $10 per box with winners for the end of each quarter 1st quarter is $100, 2nd quarter $200, 3rd quarter is $100 and final score winning numbers is $400. the club gets $200 to help offset field and refs etc costs. Their are 100 boxes 10 columns across and 10 columns down. The 10 columns across is the NFC team score and the 10 down is the AFC team score. On Super Sunday Number (0-9) are randomly drawn for both NFC and AFC columns. Example you pick Box number (5) and the random number drawn for the NFC team for box # 5 is 6, The AFC team random number down that line up with box # 5 is 0.
So if the NFC team score at the end of any quarter is (6,16,26, 36, etc) and the AFC team score at the end of any quarter is (0, 10, 20, 30 ,40 etc) Box # 5 wins whatever that quarter amount is set for (1st quarter is $100, 2nd quarter $200, 3rd quarter is $100 and final score winning numbers is $400.) On Sunday I will post the names for the boxes and the numbers I will also post after the game the winners. Posting will be on the team web site.
If we cannot sell the boxes before Sunday morning then we will be force to do one of two things, both are headaches and confusing;
1) Go with empty boxes and reduce paid out across the board based on total boxes sold. if the winning numbers for a quarter fall on an empty box then the paid out for that box slide to the next quarter and whoever has that winning box will get the paid-out for their box as while as the previous empty box winnings. if the final score falls on an empty box then the four boxes surrounding that box will spilt the final amount. Note corners do not count.
2) Reduce the cost of all boxes to $5 which will mean a lower pay out for the winners and what the club will make. Not to mention the nightmare getting everyone that has already paid for a box already and getting their new numbers.
Option (2) is the least prefer and will only come into play if we do not sell at least 30 more boxes.
To avoid this confusion and high math (to me at least) the best is to have all 100 boxes sold. I am providing below all the empty boxes numbers, so if you interested in buying any, then all you have to do is call or email
